Grilled Beef Shish Kabobs Recipe

We’re taking Beef to the next level with this flavor packed Kabob.  Using our Salt Free Thai Mojito rub and our favorite grill…. These are going to be epic.  One of the great things about them is they are all beef, we saved the veggies for their own Kabob.  Now it’s time to introduce them to your favorite cooking tool.  Your Weber Grill.

Yield: Serves 4

Prep time: 15 Minutes

Cook time: 20-25 minutes to internal temp of 160 degrees

Ingredients

Measure   Ingredient                                  Prep Notes      

2 lbs             Beef, Sirloin                             Cut into 1 ½” Cubes

Or                Beef, Tenderloin tips             Cut into 1 ½” Cubes

2 Tbsp          Oil, Olive Blend                                            

2 Tbsp          Thai Mojito Rub                                                                

Prep Directions:

  • Beef Kabob Prep

    • Cut Beef sirloin or tenderloin into 1 ½’ Cubes

    • Place into a medium mixing bowl

    • Add the Thai Mojito Rub – Adjust level to as light or as heavy as you desire

    • Mix well to combine rub and coat Beef

    • Transfer to a Ziploc bag

    • Store in fridge for 4 hours, or overnight if desired

Cooking Notes:

  • Be sure to have your Weber grill pre-heated to 400-425 degrees

Cooking Directions:

  • Cut Beef sirloin or tenderloin into 1 ½’ Cubes

  • Place into a medium mixing bowl

  • Add the Thai Mojito (or rub a dub) Rub – Adjust level to as light or as heavy as you desire

  • Mix well to combine rub and coat Beef

  • Transfer to a Ziploc bag

  • Store in fridge for 4 hours, or overnight if desired

  • Pre-heat Weber Grill to 400-425 degrees

    • For added flavor, Beef may be smoked by adding smoker tube or smoker box to your grill. Smoke as light or as heavy as preferred while grilling

  • While the Grill is pre-heating, Time to make the Kabobs

  • Using a heavy duty metal skewer, Start to skewer the Beef, be sure to divide the pieces into 4 piles to ensure each skewer is equal

  • Once the skewers are done, place onto a cookie sheet and refrigerate if not using within 5 minutes

  • Open the pre-heated grill and place the skewers onto the grill grate

  • Sear on the first side for 3 minutes, open the lid and using tongs rotate the Kabobs to the next side

  • Close the lid and cook for 3 minutes, Repeat the process for each side

  • After the final turn, using your instant read digital thermometer, start to check the internal temp of the Beef

  • Cook to your desired doneness, the above times will result in Beef that is about MEDIUM in temperature

  • Adjust seasoning on all sides (if desired) and remove from the grill, using tongs
