This recipe is a keeper for sure. Great as an accompaniment for your holiday Prime Rib and even better as a dunking liquid for the leftovers when you make French Dip Sandwiches. It may even be good just for drinking, who knows, i’ll test this and get back to you.
Au Jus Recipe
Yield: 4 Cups
Prep time: 5 Minutes
Cook time: 10 Minutes
Ingredients
Measure Ingredient
4 Cups Stock, Beef
1 Tbsp Oil, Olive Blend
1 ea Onion, Yellow, Small
1 Tbsp Garlic, Fresh
4 Tbsp Lipton Onion Soup Mix
2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Pepper, Ground, Smoked Black
Cooking Directions
- Heat a large sauce pan over medium high heat
- Add the oil and heat for 30 seconds
- Add the onions and saute until golden
- Turn heat to low and add the garlic, saute for 1 minute
- Turn heat to medium, deglaze with the beef stock
- Add the soup mix, Worcestershire and pepper
- Bring to a simmer and simmer for 15 minutes
- Adjust seasoning as needed with salt and pepper
- Serve warm/hot
- Store in fridge (once cooled) – shelf life of 1 week
