Bayou Dusted Cheese Cracker Recipe

Bayou Dusted Cheese Cracker Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 25-35 minutes


  • 2 pounds of white cheddar or pepperjack crackers
  • 1/2 cup of  Bayou Dust BAYOU DUST Seasoning by 5280 Culinary spices
  • 1/4 Cup Oil, Peanut
  • 1 Foil Veggie Pan

Traeger Settings

  • Temperature: Smoke – 12 Minutes
  • Pellets – Cherry and Hickory
  • Temperature – 300 Degrees – 40 minutes


  1. Set your Traeger to smoke setting and allow to warm up and build smoke
  2. In a large stainless steel mixing bowl, add the cheez its, BAYOU DUST seasoning and oil
  3. Mix well to combine
  4. Allow to sit for about 10 minutes to allow the spices to activate and get into the crackers better
  5. Place the seasoned crackers onto a vented cooking rack like the Kingsford Veggie Pan
  6. Once your Traeger is smoking and ready, place the pan of crackers on the grate and close the lid.
  7. Smoke for 15 minutes to help build a strong smoke flavor
  8. Turn up to 300 degrees
  9. Smoke and Roast for about 25-35 minutes, or until crackers reach desired doneness
  10. CAREFULLY Remove from the Traeger and allow to cool to room temperature, or slightly warm
