Bayou Dusted Cheese Cracker Recipe
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-35 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of white cheddar or pepperjack crackers
- 1/2 cup of Bayou Dust BAYOU DUST Seasoning by 5280 Culinary spices
- 1/4 Cup Oil, Peanut
- 1 Foil Veggie Pan
Traeger Settings
- Temperature: Smoke – 12 Minutes
- Pellets – Cherry and Hickory
- Temperature – 300 Degrees – 40 minutes
Directions
- Set your Traeger to smoke setting and allow to warm up and build smoke
- In a large stainless steel mixing bowl, add the cheez its, BAYOU DUST seasoning and oil
- Mix well to combine
- Allow to sit for about 10 minutes to allow the spices to activate and get into the crackers better
- Place the seasoned crackers onto a vented cooking rack like the Kingsford Veggie Pan
- Once your Traeger is smoking and ready, place the pan of crackers on the grate and close the lid.
- Smoke for 15 minutes to help build a strong smoke flavor
- Turn up to 300 degrees
- Smoke and Roast for about 25-35 minutes, or until crackers reach desired doneness
- CAREFULLY Remove from the Traeger and allow to cool to room temperature, or slightly warm
