How To Cook Shrimp On A Weber

Are you ready to bring a new twist to your favorite appetizer?  Well lets get going with our Weber twist on classic shrimp cocktail. We didn’t skimp on this either, these shrimp are HUGE.  MMMMMM, Shrimp.


Yield: 4-People     Prep time: 20 Minutes    Cook time: 12-15 minutes cooking time

Ingredients

Cooking Directions

  1. Peel, devein and rinse the shrimp, pat dry.
  2. Place the shrimp into a Ziploc bag, add the oil and season to taste with the Rub-A-Dub
  3. Close the bag and shake the bag to coat the shrimp and distribute the seasoning
  4. Allow to marinade, in the fridge for 1-2 hours
  5. Heat Weber grill to 450˚
  6. While Weber is preheating, skewer the shrimp by folding them in half and skewering thru the body and tail
  7. Once Weber is preheated, open the lid and add the shrimp, close the lid
  8. Sear hot for 3-4 Minutes on each side,
  9. Cook shrimp to an internal temperature of about 125 degrees or until shrimp are pearly or opaque in color.
  10. Shrimp should not have any translucent parts when fully cooked
  11. Remove from the grill, cool for 5 minutes on a plate, then place plate in the fridge and cool until shrimp are completely chilled
  12. Serve with cocktail sauce (recipe below) and wedges of lemon

Cocktail Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 Cup - Ketchup or Chili Sauce
  • 4-5 tbsp - Horseradish
  • Taste - Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp - Worcestershire Sauce
  • Taste - Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp - Fire Honey, 5280 Culinary 

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  2. Adjust heat with more horseradish if needed, or less
  3. Adjust sweet with more fire honey, or less
