Fire Salt Smoked Brownies Recipe


  • 2 ea (20 oz ea)     Ghirardelli Brownie Mix, Triple Chocolate
  • 2/3 Cup                 Oil, Canola or Vegetable
  • 2/3 Cup                 Coffee, Nitro Brewed or Cold Brewed (Strong)
  • 2 ea                        Eggs, Large
  • 4 Tbsp                    Fire Salt, by BBQ Provisions – For less heat use 3 Tbsp


  • 1          Preheat Traeger to smoke setting (or set Big Green Egg  to low, with conveggtor) and add preferred flavor of  smoke chips
  • 2          In a large stainless steel bowl mix ALL ingredients until wet
  • 3          Spray an 8×10 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray
  • 4          Pour the brownie mix into the pan and allow to settle
  • 5          Smoke on the Traeger or Big Green Egg  for 1-2 hours depending on the level of smoke desired
  • 6          After desired smoke level is reached turn Traeger or adjust the Big Green Egg to 325 degree
  • 7          Continue to bake the brownies for 35-45 minutes or until fully cooked
  • 8          Toothpick should pull out clean and not have any batter stuck to it
  • 9          Remove from the grill with towel or gloves
  • 10        Allow to cool for 15-25 minutes
  • 11        Cut carefully and serve
  • 12        Goes great with Coffee Ice Cream or Gelato!
