Recipes For Cookies On A Grill
It’s a great way to add that smoke flavor to a delicious dessert.
Gingersnaps on the Big Green Egg, they don’t get any better than this. That deep molasses flavor picks up a nice smoke essence and the ginger keeps it snappy.
Big Green Egg Gingersnaps
Better double this recipe, just in case.

Yield: 18 Large Cookies, 36 small cookies
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10-13 minutes, depending on desired doneness
Ingredients:
Measure Ingredient Prep Notes
¾ Cup Butter, Salted Softened to room temp
1 Cup Sugar, Granulated, Cane
1 Ea Egg, XL Fresh
¼ Cup Molasses
1 tbsp Vanilla Extract (or paste)
2 Cup Flour, All Purpose
2 tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Salt, Kosher
1 ½ tsp Cinnamon, Ground
1 tsp Cloves, Ground
1 ½ tsp Ginger, Ground
½ Cup Sugar, Granulated
Prep Directions:
In a large bowl or in a mixer with paddle, cream together the butter and sugar until combined
Add the eggs, molasses and vanilla and mix lightly to combine
In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt, baking soda, cloves, cinnamon and ginger. Mix well
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the bowl of wet ingredients, mix until a dough forms
Scoop the cookie dough out using either a #24 scoop or about 2 rounded tbsp, roll into a ball
Roll the dough ball in the sugar and coat well
Place onto a cookie sheet and slightly flatten the cookie
Start Big Green Egg, Setup for Indirect Cooking, add a pizza stone (if you have one) and adjust temperature to 350˚
Place into the Egg and bake at 350˚ for 10-13 minutes or until desired doneness (less time for more chewy, more time for crunchy)
Using oven mitts or heat gloves, remove from the BGE and allow to cool, remove from the cookie sheet and store tightly covered
Be sure cookies are fully cooled before covering

Traeger Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Yield: 12 Cookies
Prep time: 10 – 15 minutes
Cook time: 10-13 minutes, depending on desired doneness
Ingredients:
Measure Ingredient Prep Notes
½ Cup Cocoa, Unsweetened
1 Cup Sugar, Granulated, Cane
¼ Cup Oil, Vegetable
2 Ea Eggs, XL Fresh
1 tbsp Vanilla Extract (or paste)
1 Cup Flour, All Purpose
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt, Kosher
½ Cup Mini Kisses, Baking Chips
½ Cup Sugar, Powdered
Prep Directions:
In a large mixing bowl add the cocoa, cane sugar, vegetable oil and mix to combine using a spatula
Add the eggs in one at a time and mix to combine, once eggs are mixed in, add the vanilla extract and chocolate chips
In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well
Add the dry ingredients into the bowl of wet ingredients, mix until a dough forms
Cover tightly and refrigerate for 4-6 hours
Load Traeger with Reserve Blend Pellets set temperature to 350˚
Place the powdered sugar in a medium bowl
Scoop the cookie dough out using either a #24 scoop or about 2 rounded tbsp, roll into a ball
Place into the powdered sugar and roll around to coat
Place onto the cookie sheet, be sure to space them out
Push down lightly on the cookie to make a thumbprint
Place into the Traeger and bake at 350˚ for 10-12 minutes or until desired doneness
Remove from the Traeger and allow to cool, remove from the cookie sheet and store tightly covered
Be sure cookies are fully cooled before covering

Today we are celebrating the beautiful combination of Brownies and Cookies, so to whoever had this brilliant idea… we say Thank You. Were cooking these today in some lodge cast iron on our Weber Grill.
Brookies on the Weber Grill
Add smoke if you want that extra flavor punch.

Ingredients:
Measure Ingredient Prep Notes
1 Pkg Bookie Mix or 1 Package Brownie and 1 Package Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
Follow boxed mix directions
Prep Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl mix the brownie mix as instructed on the package
In a separate bowl mix the brownie mix as instructed on the package
Lightly oil or spray your lodge 10 1/2” cast iron skillet
Spread the brownie mix in the skillet and smooth out
Scoop the cookie dough or sprinkle the cookie dough onto the brownie mix
Ignite Weber Grill with outside burners ONLY and set temperature to 350˚
We will be cooking indirect today, so make sure center burner is off
Place into the Weber and bake at 350˚ for 30-35 minutes or until desired doneness
Remove from the Weber using heat proof gloves, allow to cool for 2 minutes, cut with spatula into 12 bars, allow to cool for 10 minutes and then remove from the skillet and allow to cool fully
Be sure cookies are fully cooled before covering
